WHO: The Batfamily, and friends of the Batfamily! WHERE: Cass and Charlie's house. WHEN: Christmas Eve WARNINGS: None! SUMMARY: It's Christmas, so that means another Bat-get-together. FORMAT: whatever you want
[Perhaps it's just the fact that the party is about to start, and that it's a party, and that it's Christmas, but Charlie had started to cheer up about an hour before people began arriving. She'd grabbed a shower and put on vaguely nicer clothing and was now going about trying to rescue some of the Christmas decorations.]
[She wasn't done by the time people arrived, so she's still rushing about hanging lights and occasionally readjusting things. The tree, she doesn't touch...she's afraid it'll fall on her.]
sorry this is my millionth editbedeviledspiderDecember 23 2011, 06:40:32 UTC
[ There's the faintest scent of sulfur in the air, and then, there is Reilly. Who is wearing a big nervous smile. And eyeing the decor with equal amounts of curiosity and trepidation.
Also he has cupcakes. ]
Hey! I, uh, I wasn't sure what to bring so I made some-- I know, I know, it's not gifts. I probably should've brought gifts. I just--
Um. Your tree is leaning. That's... I don't think it's supposed to do that.
[Nill had, of course, brought a dessert for the entire party. However, instead of cookies she had brought pies. It had been a while, but she thought that the French silk had turned out well, even if the cheesecake had cracked right down the middle. She was wearing a lolita dress, only because she had gotten really excited when the pastries had finished and she had run out of time to change. She was still relatively comfortable with the outfit, though; it was Christmas Eve, so she didn't mind dressing up nice. She made her way to the kitchen to set the pies down, wings flicking behind her back.]
[The blonde turned as soon as she heard him, smiling and raising one hand in acknowledgement. Her wings flicked behind her back, and worry crossed her face for a moment. Did he not want her to come? She didn't want to be an imposition to anyone, least of all him.]
[Cass has a plate loaded up so high with food that she can barely be seen over it. And she's wasting no time digging in. It's quite a spectacle, really. It's like she's never eaten before in her life.]
[Your Santa hat is nothing compared to Cass's horrible Christmas sweater! She'd found it among some of the stuff Steph had left behind, and it's truly a sight to behold: bright red, with Rudolf on the front and some kind of sparkly fake-jewel for his nose. And all kinds of glitter to simulate snow.]
[ Somehow fashion disasters tend to go hand in hand with holidays in this family. He'll make room for her on the sofa without even really glancing at what's she's wearing. ]
CLEANUP/FAREWELLbatghoulDecember 22 2011, 22:40:05 UTC
[everyone's probably in the throes of indigestion and ready to go home, but feel free to hang around and help clean up or awkwardly wait for the right moment to escape]
[ For once he's not about to leave until every last dish is washed and put away. The girls were the ones to put themselves out for everyone this time, and Babs wouldn't have left them sitting. ]
( damian's been sulking around for most of the night, pouting like the child he is. when he sees dick starting to clean up, he can't help but comment. )
Am I waiting on the bike outside bearing tupperware and Christmas cheer? [ He tosses the rag he's holding in that direction, definitely aiming for a headshot. ]

Hey! Um, that's fine.
[She eyes the tree suspiciously as well.]
I, uh. Don't know how to... get it to stop.
