Since the first time his money had run out early, Goku had gotten better at budgeting. Not much better, but depending on the restaurants he passed he could stretch it at least 4 days now. It helped that he didn't have anything else he wanted to spend the money on, until now. If he could save $50 he might be able to get a kitten! Due to that, he'd run out a lot sooner this week. The kitten plan might have hit a permanent road block if it wasn't for Sanji being such a crutch.

As soon as his stomach started to complain he'd made his way to the third floor. If Sanji wasn't home, he was sure to at least have something in his cupboards after all. He had some manners beaten into his head at least and knocked on the door first.

"Naa! Sanji!" he called out loudly as he knocked. "Are you home? I'm hungry!"

Oh boy. That was earlier than expected. "It's open," Sanji called out over his shoulder while he diced cloves of garlic. "And it's not ready yet, so just sit down and stay out of the way!"

The wonderful smell of food hit Goku the second he opened the door. It smelled so good. His stomach started to rumble again at the thought of the soon to be feast. The mood was then crushed when he finally processed what Sanji said.

"How much longer is it gonna take?" he whined. Sanji's cooking was good but he was always so slow.

"Half an hour." Which was Sanji's standard response whether it would be an hour or five minutes. He didn't count on the kid to have the attention span to actually watch the clock and call him on his timing.

He was cooking a fusion of styles, anyway, so he had no idea how much longer it would take. The vegetables were stewing in the home-made beef stock, like a soup, but he planned to stir-fry the beef itself with garlic before adding it to the stew at the last minute. And serve with biscuits - something hearty. He glanced over as Goku came into view and thumbed over his shoulder, knife still in hand. "Go entertain yourself, I left the television on."
