Though Garrus can occasionally be called paranoid, he certainly doesn't answer the doorwith a pistol in hand; he answers it, however, with a glance through the peephole before he does in fact open it.

"Tali? Wasn't expecting you," he said, but let her in all the same. "And you're...bearing food." Thoughtful! Good think he hadn't eaten yet.

"I'm not interrupting anything, am I? You're not heading to work?" Because -- well, she'd feel a little bad delaying him because he was too polite to say anything about it. Seemed like something that might happen.

"I just wanted to say thanks for coming to get Ghost and I on Thanksgiving." Who knows what might've happened. Ghost probably would've just taken her back using his intangibility, but maybe that had some unforeseen side effect.

"Nope. Just going over some files and listening to the network chatter," Garrus replied, as he stepped back toward the small MAC apartment kitchen. He's not going anywhere, apparently.

But he stops, just about ready to clear the files off the table. "No problem. You'd've done the same for me." Squaddies watch after squaddies.

"That doesn't mean I don't appreciate it." And then, after a little hesitation, "I also haven't been eating as much as I ought to. I figured coming by here with someone else who isn't exactly -- used -- to the human body thing yet would be good incentive."

She's not sure whether the whole Thanksgiving incident made him feel antsy, but it had certainly done that much with hers.
