"Excuse me, have you seen a man, 'bout so tall, nose like a wolf, with a distinct air of books about him?"
Sirius has a picture as well, but it was the books that usually did it for identifying rogue Moonys. He didn't even have to be carrying one, it was just part of his essential nature.

At least it's just a simple question. (Looking for someone. He was right. Give him a point for people-watching.) And a bonus bit of inspiration. Nose like a wolf. That's a good line. He might steal it. Though, 'round here -- he looks uncertain for a moment, then goes ahead and asks. "You mean literally or metaphorically?"

This early in the day, Sirius's smile is still coming easy. He's all white teeth, stubble and bright grey eyes under his shaggy hair, and looks like the kind of fellow who'd do well on a stage, or on a motorbike. The kind of fellow who should be at a bar with a pint in his hand and a bird on his arm, and you there as well, sharing a joke.

It figures.
She is very close to the station when she thinks she spies a familiar figure. Is that...? There's only one way to find out.
"Oi, Sirius!"

It had occurred to him that he could take a cab, but he was pretty sure that they had laws about weeping in hired cars, and he'd just end up back here anyway. All in all, it was a good thing Tonks found him or Sirius would probably have just been standing on the corner unable to figure out a way to move, until Potter came out to collect him.

"What happened?" Is someone dead? Is someone hurt?

Oh bloody hell he's not going to go all weepy in the street. He's really not. Really. Damn it.

He heads for the building, pain and worry clear on his face.
