[ Welp, if anything, hearing the approach ahead of time gives him the head start he needs to get the photos put away before Tim's in view. No new breakthroughs he can explain, no reason to have them out. It's more than a little embarrassing just to be caught staring.

But Tim's here for a reason. If nothing else, he should hear him out. ]

Tim?

[He manages to miss Dick's movements beyond enough to figure he was doing paperwork of some kind, so Dick is lucky there.]

Dick.

[He stops at conversational Tim distance, which is maybe a fraction outside of conversational normal person distance, and... then it's kind of awkward. Maybe he should have practised what he was going to say - more than he had already.]

... Hey. I thought maybe we could - talk.

[ Really it says a lot about how much things have changed - how much they've deteriorated - that for a long moment all he can really do is stare. When's the last time they'd really done that?

It's Tim. What the hell is he thinking? ]

...Yeah. Anytime.

[ He pushes the cowl back and then takes a seat up on the console rather than back in the chair. ]

What's on your mind?

[It feels kind of like it's been forever since they could just... talk. And all things considered, that really needs fixing, but it's going to take a little work. On both ends, probably. But we all know how Tim gets about fixing things, so.]

First of all... I think I owe you an apology. I was kind of freaked out about your - death [murder] and Bruce leaving right after, but I shouldn't have just... hung up on you. This investigation is yours, and if you need me to back off, I will.
