If only within the confines of her own head, Terra could admit she felt anxious going somewhere without Zelgadis. Not for her own sake, of course. There weren't many people who could beat her in a fight if she were to let loose with her full power, and fewer she thought who would bother. Rather, she worried that something might happen to him again if he left her sight.

But it wouldn't be right for her to linger over him all the time, and besides they were low on general food stuffs anyway. It was already long past dark and the cool of winter was settling in quickly, so there weren't many people who would bother being out this late for eggs or bread or beverages or what have you. There wasn't anyone in line at the register when Terra arrived, easily enough; the whole trip was mundane enough.

Until, rather unexpectedly, Terra was slammed in the head with an overwhelming presence of magic. Her hand gripped the lip of the counter as she turned, unabashedly staring at the man behind her in the line.

Who the hell was this guy?

Someone was staring at him.

It was hard to miss, not just her bright green hair but the fact that she was right there in front of him, and he glanced down at her with a question on his face, before wondering if he really wanted the answer.

"...You okay?"

On the positive side, she was no raving lunatic who simply set fire to people on a whim, or for a heartbeat of suspicion. But there was no mistaking the wariness in her face, or the way she looked him over to judge the threat.

It'd been a tumultuous few weeks. The woman tilted her head a little to one side, now looking back to his face. "Who are you?" Point-blank, and completely disregarding his own question. She was just scoring every possible point in making friends.
