James could admit he'd been concerned at first but it wasn't long before he realised this was yet another trick of the city, no doubt the Porter up to her tricks or the aftermath of the terrors that had risen.

Either way he could do little but make sure Selina was comfortable for her time in his home and keep her company when he wasn't working, despite whether she knew of the company or not.

For the evening James has settled himself once more into the spot next to her, sitting in casual jeans and t-shirt and quietly reading some trashy thriller while Pussy has settled herself between the two warm bodies, purring lazily. He seems to sense her more than anything, because by the time Selina's stirring, he's lifting his gaze from the pages and offering up a light smile (that might be verging on the relieved side).

She smiles back, although perhaps a bit confused. Pussy is nudging her arm, so the cat gets a petting.

"What time is it?" The light looks like evening. Did she really sleep through a whole day?

A slow glance down at his watch confirms what he thought, replying with a soft, "Just after six."

"Hell." She stretches, yawning a bit. "Didn't meant to sleep so late."

The dress she fell asleep in is a mess of wrinkles. "Mind if I borrow your shower?"
