ENTRY WAY byholeystgeorge October 22 2011, 18:47:35 UTC
[One of the twins is happy to help point you in the right direction...or possibly just jump out from behind something to get the scare started.]

[ Why, Luna looks like she could use some directions, frowning a bit at the entrance with her Spectrespecs on. How she managed to get them to fit under that ridiculous lion hat was a mystery. ]

[Those specs may just help her see that the 'mummy' propped up in the corner has one grinning George Weasly wrapped in the bandages. As it starts to slowly shuffle over to her.]

[ Well, for someone who should be alarmed, she is sporting a mysterious grin... until she realizes that of course she should look properly terrified, and instead, puts her hands on her face and opens her mouth wide in the worst pretend shock. ]

KID'S FLOOR byholeystgeorge October 22 2011, 18:48:39 UTC
[It's almost as if effort went into making this a little more lame than it had any right to be. Sorry kids, that's what you get for being a responsible person and not breaking the rules like they're meant to be broken. At least there's candy, right?]

GROWN UP FLOOR byholeystgeorge October 22 2011, 18:49:47 UTC
[Now this has some scary stuff- if things that can't actually hurt you are still scary anymore. Blood running down the walls, rattling chains, you name it. And those damn candles seem to like going out at the worst times.]

THIS IS WHAT CALVIN GETS FOR BREAKING THE RULES. He snuck into the grown-up floor with his little stars-and-moons wizard robe dragging around his feet, immediately heard rattling chains coming towards him, and took off running in the opposite direction. Then he ran smack into a wall covered in blood and took off running and screaming with his eyes closed and his pointy wizard hat falling off until he bolted straight through one of the trick doors without even looking.

Calvin the Terrified Kid entered, Calvin the Perturbed Cliche Wizard's Apprentice exited. "Masters?" He calls. Calvin rubs his chin, wishing he was old enough to have a properly wizardly beard to stroke.

The room he's in is dark, and he waves his broomstick staff and shouts "Illuminus!" Nothing happens. Hm. Clearly my studies need more involvement with that spell. He calls again for his Masters, the great and learned Weasley Wizards.

Oh bollocks.

[ clearly the kid-proofing was no match for calvin. which they really should have forseen, in retrospect. calvin reminded fred of himself and george, and when had a couple signs stopped them at that age?

so he apparates right behind calvin and murmurs lumos, wand tip lighting up the darkness. ]

Misread the signs, eh, Calvin?

[Calvin jumps a good foot into the air when Fred just appears behind him]

Master George!

[Yep somebody still hasn't gotten the hang of the twin thing yet. Yes, despite having the ear pointed out to him. LOOK IT'S DARK AND HE'S SCARED AND MAGIC-BRAINWASHED]

I was just, er- checking the enchantments on the house! I have to say, you and Master Fred have done really impressive work tonight. I can't wait until I learn as much magic as you!

PUZZLE ROOM byholeystgeorge October 22 2011, 18:51:00 UTC
[Disclaimer: these are not clever puzzles. By any stretch. But if it makes the twins laugh, that's all the need. Feel free to be as stuck for as long or as short a time as you like with whoever you like, and puzzles to solve will be provided on request.]

[Buffy as Daphne is pretty darn sure she's going to get trapped in here... when the door seals behind her. Haunted Houses, they were all the same. She rolled her eyes and kept her cool AS SHE GETS SEALED IN WITH YOU I GUESS.]

This isn't like a scene from Cube, right? Because I like all my limbs right where they are.

[ Ginny is helping out with directing people, in theory. She's also dressed as a vampire, complete with magically elongated fangs and everything. Unfortunately, she's also stumbled into the Halloween helpers and is now being serenaded by three of them (she'd tried to hex the first one away). She looks like she's currently considering testing those fangs out on one of the gnomes. ]

Go and bother the guests, can't you! I'm not a maypole, go find someone else to orbit.

What the heck are those things? [Sokka is dressed in his warrior's outfit. WELL what counts as the 2011 version. He's crafted some skateboard pads into armor, and he's wearing wolf's head hat as he approaches IN CASE GINNY IS IN DANGER. He's so valiant :')]

Did they attack you?

They're my brothers' idea of a joke. [ Of course, now that Sokka is here the gnomes have taken a concerted interest in singing to him. All three of them are zipping around Ginny now, singing and dancing and generally showing off to their new friend. ]

Stop it, all of you! [ She bats them away and tries to smile at him. ] They're a bit insistent, sorry. And they're not attacking, unless the power of song counts as an attack. Which given the way they're singing, it just might.

Never mind them. I like your costume! Are you a werewolf?
