[Peter is dressed more or less as he was on Valentine's, though in nicer jeans, and with a dark red shirt instead of a striped one. Still a drab get-up for this setting, but that's all to the good, since he's here to work and it lets him move around unnoticed if need be. Occasionally, he stops people for photographs.

It's still a party, though, and he's not going to turn down conversation that comes his way! Or finger food, for that matter.]

Are you a photographer for the magazine? [barely looks up from his own finger food exploits]

[He shoves the last of a pig in a blanket into his mouth, then lifts his camera.]

Sure am. Feel like smiling for the camera?

If I have to. [But his tone is joking, even if he's really serious.] I'm just here for the free food, though. I'm no one important.

[He chuckles.] Well, I can't fault your logic.

[Holding out a hand.] Peter Parker, City Lights Staff Shutterbug, among other things.

[shakes it warmly after a millisecond's hesitation.] Dexter Morgan, pig-in-a-blanket connoisseur.

[ as she notices him taken snapshots, kanaya can't help being a little uncomfortable that someone else is still working while she's enjoying herself, especially with the reminders that the preparations for the next issue would need t begin soon ]

I suppose not all of us were afforded this leisurely break, then?

Oh, hey, Kanaya. [He shrugs.] I don't really mind; it's an easy job and it's hard to complain with free food, right?

[He raises the camera.]

So, would our Junior Fashion Consultant like to strike a pose of her own?

[ she shrinks back from the camera and glows more brightly ]

Oh, no, I'm just fine remaining outside of the camera, thank you.

[ of course, then one would have to wonder if she'd even show up on a photograph ]

Really? [He waggles the camera in what is apparently supposed to be enticing fashion.] C'mon, you worked hard, you deserve your moment of fame too.

[ with how brightly she's starting to glow, no telling how the picture'd even come out! ]

I-I'm sure there are...others more fit to be featured.

Aww, there's no need to be shy! Think of it this way -- you're glowing, so no one will be able to see you that well anyway.

Well, wouldn't that then be an utter waste of a shot? I'm sure there would be more useful applications for it.

[ The camera? Is getting stared at for a bit. Cameras are not unheard of in Gil's time -- in fact Oscar has one himself. But you know, 1800s camera and nothing like the one Peter uses for professional photography.

He probably looks creepy staring the way he is. ]

( About halfway through the night, Donna will appear with a plate of various tidbits. She half-smiles, half-bites down on her lower lip, and laughs. )
