[The man that appeared was-- tall, well built, and Italian. Or at least, had a Roman look to him; dark short hair and -- scars. So many scars. The porter gave him a new face, but there's no mistaking Garrus Vakarian. The ragged flesh around his mouth, the cybernetic ear -- it was all very, very obvious and marked him, apparently, as a dangerous man. People moved out of his way.]

[Truth be told, he didn't mind the affect one bit.]

Bauer. Sorry for coming in a borrowed skin, but if I'm going to social with food and drink involved... a change of perspective -- and aminos -- was in order.

[Jack had been a little worried about recognizing Garrus' new form. He needn't have given it any thought, clearly- this was Garrus right down to the voice. He looks him up and down.]

It definitely suits you. Come on, have a seat. Have you tried Earth alcohol yet? [Well of course he had, Garrus had been around for months- but no, now he hadn't. Jack forced himself to treat this Garrus as a new person he happened to be familiar with. Less confusing that way.]

[Well now he has to treat Garrus as a new person whose beers he happens to be familiar with. Jack orders a pint for them both in mugs. He nods at what is set in front of Garrus as he takes hold of his own.]
