It certainly made surreptitious attempts to knock his hood down more difficult -- not that she would try right then, hand occupied holding his and the rest of her attention darting from shop window to shop window. She wasn't necessarily a shopaholic (though there was some of that, too), but she could not recall coming down this way, and the store fronts were different than what she was accustomed to seeing. As large as the City was, scuba gear outlets weren't exactly common.
The bluster of the wind pulled at her hair and the scarf around her neck -- replacing the usual cloak, because for some reason wearing less fabric when the weather was getting colder was a brilliant plan. (On some planet, Terra made sense. It was not this one.)
All in all, it was a crisp autumn afternoon, and Terra was content.
Zelgadis' cape whipped loudly behind him in the next gust, snapping in the face of a harmless middle-aged man who yelped more like a middle-aged woman and took to giving them a wide berth before their paths diverged. The cape-owner thought little of it, matching gaze now and then with Terra's as she scanned the windows. More often than not, though, he was looking less at the shiny, useless things and more at images reflected. They looked so out of place, he thought...but a defiant part of him was rather pleased of it. After so much time, the City had yet to strip away much of what they were on the exterior.
He would be pleased to be rid of certain facets of exterior, though...But that thought came to him slower than usual. The recent run-in with Illidan made him reluctant to admit the things he wanted...and the things he perhaps needed, merely skin-deep.
Luckily, the times he wasn't reflecting on reflections drew his thoughts elsewhere and far from brooding

Terra was not always the most understanding of other people's attentions or moods, but she tried her best to pay attention. The cues were often misinterpreted, or skipped altogether. As they walked, though Terra noticed his reflection in the windows often looking the same direction as she, she didn't even consider that it was her he was looking at.
So when he did make a sound, breaking their comfortable quiet, it was only natural to think it was about something in the window. The way his head turned only confirmed it.
It took a few seconds and some pedestrian-dodging to give her the moment to question it; Terra turned her head, her free hand adjusting her scarf. "Zel?"
"Hm-?" At the sound of his name, Zelgadis' attention redirected yet again, glancing down at her. He waited a moment, expecting more, but catching on by the look on her face.
"Oh--" He shot a fast glance over his shoulder again. "Nothing. Just saw something familiar."
