It was a nice day for a walk and that was exactly what Lua was doing - dressed in the closest approximation to what she was used to wearing back in 1931, a long skirt and a dark colored turtleneck - when the sacks and other junk piled on the sidewalk made her pause. Her eyes scanned over the area before coming to rest on the girl flopped on the desk.

She as just looking, there wasn't any readable expression on her face.

Annabeth was doing mental calculations in her head about what she would need to rebuild the desk, her grey eyes distantly staring at a spot on the sidewalk when she had the strangest sensation of being watched. She looked up, glancing about, and spotted the woman nearby...staring at her.

After a couple seconds she raised her hand in a sort of half-wave.

"Uh. Hi?"

"Um..." Staring is rude and Lua always tried to be polite so she glanced around again. "Do you want help with cleaning?"

Annabeth frowned faintly as she considered the woman standing in front of her. Older than her, definitely, and not familiar...not that familiarity meant much here in the city.

She tugged her legs up onto the desk, crossing them and resting her hands on her bare knees. "I'm taking a little break, but...I never mind a bit of help. What's your name?"

Ginny was developing a habit of going out and walking, finding her way around the City. it was the only way to get to know it, and she found it was a decent way to meet people as well. She'd run into a few other ImPorts already this way, and it was nice to put real faces to the people whose pictures she saw on the mobile.

Today, though, she'd wandered down a street with an awful lot of bags on it, and as she got closer she saw a blonde girl struggling with a desk. She'd managed to get it out but then sat down exhausted. Curious, Ginny went over.

"Would you like a hand with any of that?"

Annabeth was just about catching her breath when the she heard someone talking, and she smiled faintly at the redhead, giving a shrug. She looked vaguely familiar, which probably just meant she was another import Annabeth had seen on her phone but not had time to talk to.

Which was pretty normal lately.

"...I won't complain about help." She said, sliding off the desk. "I only need to get it there." She pointed to a spot about five feet from where she was.

Ginny glanced at the spot. It was in her mind that if she used magic, she could move the desk easily enough to that very place. She just wasn’t sure whether she should do that; even though she’d seen other magic users on the network and therefore knew it wasn’t exactly a secret here, it was still odd for her to even talk about it very openly. So for the moment, she decided not to, and moved to help by hand.

“Okay,” she agreed with a smile. “I’m Ginny, by the way.”

Annabeth moved around to the far side of the desk, opposite Ginny, and looked for a hand grip. "I'm Annabeth. Nice to meet you." She grinned, and then hefted the desk up.

Between the two of them they shuffled it over next to the pile of trash, leaving it with some of the bags propped up against it. Annabeth let out a little breathless sound once it was down and grinned. "Okay! Thanks." She turned back to Ginny.

[ Well, that's a somewhat unusual sight. Shouldn't a girl so young (by his standards) have help with that? Maybe her parents are inside, moving something else. He can hope, at least. A gesture of one hand has his giant dog stopping and sitting on the sidewalk, glad to provide a panting, slobbery roadblock to pedestrians everywhere, while Black Bolt approaches alone.

He stops at the edge of the desk, both hands rested under one side as if in the precursors of lifting it, and tosses an unmistakably inquisitive glance toward Annabeth. He could just heft it up. He'd prefer she understand his intention and give permission. ]

[Annabeth actually noticed the big dog before the owner, as the creature almost reminded her of Nico's hellhound, even if this one was obviously smaller than that animal. But then the owner actually approached, without the beast, and her silver eyes studied him.]

[When he stopped at the edge of the desk she instinctively slid off, her head tilting to the side.]

You want to help?

[ Oh good, no pantomimes necessary. He gives a curt nod, shifting a little to pick up the desk when she's off of it. He does it easily, like it's a large, ungainly piece of cardboard rather than a desk. Another glance over! Where do you want this thing, lady? ]

[Annabeth blinked in surprise when he just hauled the desk off the ground. Granted, it wasn't that heavy, but it was still heavy enough that it was obvious he was an import. Huh.]

Just...over there.

[She pointed to an empty spot next to the trash bag pile.]

Oh his way home from work at the garage, Teddy was a little dirty too. His attention was on his phone and the text conversation he was having when he heard the sounds of the desk being dragged. Glancing up, he smiled before sending a quick text home saying he'd be a little late and starting across the street to see if he could help out.

"Hi," he greeted once he got over there. "Need a hand with that?"

Annabeth was just getting ready to push the desk along the sidewalk when the boy turned up. She blinked at him in surprise, then shrugged.

"Sure. It just needs to get to the curb."

Teddy smiled and placed his hands on the desk. He glanced at the curb and nodded.

"Got it."

He took a breath and lifted the desk up, using just enough strength to do it but not enough to make it look too easy. Carefully setting the desk onto the curb, Teddy turned back to Annabeth.
