[ Peter still found it difficult not to be miserable. Even with the addition of Buffy in his life, things were hard and every single time one more thing went wrong in the city, Peter was reminded of just how little he could do. Even though here, there were people who could pick up the slack. Here there were people who truly wanted to be heroes unlike so many of the others Peter had come up against back home

[Watching the crowd as closely as he is, Adam had probably seen Peter before the other man had even noticed him, truly. He keeps swigging and idly watching the other man, making sure to glance at anything directly but Peter so it looks as though he's just missed the other's entrance. As always, Peter's actions amuse him. Perhaps it was just the distraction he needed.

He would allow Peter another few minutes to pretend he had escaped, however, turning back to the bartender and whispering conspiratorily. Grinning to himself, he takes up his new drink, allowing his eyes to settle on Peter now, picking him out of the crowd.

Though he isn't the only one, a skimpily-clad waitress approaching him with a beer, saying something along the lines of 'This is for you, handsome' before she's off to do better things. Adam raises his glass to Peter from across the room, a twinkle in his eye.]

[ Peter is, frankly, anything but amused. Thankfully for the scantily-clad waitress, Peter doesn't take it out on her, forcing a smile and taking the offered beer without another word. Peter isn't stupid enough to think that it came from anyone but Adam, and he stands where he is for a few moments, attention turned towards the other man with one hand still stuffed in his pocket

[He smiles pleasantly, as if Peter had greeted him in the most cheerful way.] How nice of you to join me, Peter. However, it wasn't my intention to disrupt anything pressing.

[A clear challenge in his eyes. Will you walk away? He already knows the answer.]

[he'd see kotetsu, wandering around as lost as he. though in his civilian gear (something that was so rare considering the fact that he only had one until he could get a job. but, kotetsu, always being the hero called over to the other man to see if he needed any assistance.] Hey, you look lost. Need some help?

[He seems almost amused, but he's quick to shake his head.] I'm hardly lost, old chap. However, you seem more out of place than I. Do you need help?

[as much as he doesn't want to admit it, this guy does give off a weird vibe. whatever, he must look ridiculous and stuff.] No, not really. I'm just ... [lost, so lost. so lost that J.J Abrams wants to make a show based on his life that's how lost.] exploring the city.

adam passes eames on the street and eames tails him out of habit. because eames is bored as well, with nothing to do but bide his time until certain things come to pass. so he follows adam and watches him and sees the difference between him and sark and wonders how exactly the porter managed something like this.

and if there was a double of him floating around somewhere just waiting to appear on the network. ]

[ it is not sark. there are such marked differences in them, in poise and mannerisms, all those important details that eames looks for out of habit, out of well-ingrained instinct. they wear the same face, but these are two different men.

eames follows him into the bar. whatever adam there is everything to see here. ]

[As they enter, Adam holds the door open for him, to signal to Eames he knew he was there all along.] I insist, after you.

[Elektra used to use places like this to throw off her bodyguards before she made an escape. Now? She just felt like people watching for a while. Elektra slips in with a nice sun dress and high heels and bee lines for the bar. She's just ordering water with a lemon slice in it before she undoubtedly will retreat to some corner.]

[Which is obviously the corner's Adam already occupying. He watches her approach, a plain expression on his face.] Not drinking tonight?

[She glances at him. Of course he's in the corner she'd normally hide in. Normally this would be her cue to go but, there's something very familiar about that voice.]

I don't drink any nights.

Then a bar seems a silly place to haunt for one who doesn't drink. [Though he sounds anything but judgmental. It's also a silly place to drink if one can't get drunk.]
