Erik had arrived at the coffee shop several minutes earlier since he only had to make his way downstairs and across the street. He was already seated at a table near one of the windows of the cafe, a cup of coffee on the table before him-- simple black coffee, as he did not quite understand how a coffee shop could have such a large menu in the first place.

He kept an eye out for the young man he was meeting, only able to recognize him from their earlier conversation over the communicator. Erik gave a slight smile in Teddy's direction when he saw the blonde arrive, giving a small nod of acknowledgment in his direction.

When he spots Erik, Teddy smiles and returns to the nod. The blond makes a stop at the counter to get himself a cup of coffee and then heads over. Sliding into the seat across from Erik, Teddy offers a hand.

"Nice to meet you in person."

Erik gave Teddy's hand a firm shake. It was the sort of gesture that it seemed many teens in this time period would not think of, so it pleased him a bit to see that his grandson's boyfriend at least appeared to have good manners.

"Yes, it is a pleasure to meet you, Teddy," he replied before taking a sip of his coffee. "My grandson seems quite enamored with you."

Teddy was usually a polite one. He was making sure he was with Billy's grandfather. He wanted to make a good impression and have some off Billy's family like him.

He blushed a little and smiled when his boyfriend was mentioned. "And I love him. Very much."
