Unfortunately, Charles is only a mind-reader when he's actively invading another person's mind -- something that he's been struggling quite hard to avoid doing ever since he arrived in the City. After all, he has no intention of making enemies, and even less intention of learning any more about his friend and how others have seen him. Charles can only smile very widely when he sees Billy, and he waves in his direction, smile on his face in his pleasure to see a familiar individual.

"Ah, Billy!"

Erik tilted his head curiously as his companion was suddenly addressing the young man nearby. He did not recognize the teen, though at the same time he felt an odd sense of familiarity. He continued to walk beside Charles as they approached the teen.

"You know each other, Charles?" he asked, raising an eyebrow.

Pietro's going to be so mad about this, he thinks as he puts on a smile. No getting out of it now. "Hi, Professor. Er. I mean, Mister Xavier." He wasn't even sure if he was a professor yet.

Billy also nods at Erik in greeting. "Mister Lehnsherr. Nice to meet you."

Charles did catch a bit of that, and it made his smile falter for a moment. He tried to brush it off, and not look too concerned about Pietro. He nodded his head in Billy's direction, still smiling. He laughed at how he was addressed. "It's all right. You may call me whatever you wish. Professor is fine, as is Charles." he informed.

He gestured at Erik then, still smiling. "This is Erik -- ah, as you know. Erik, this is Billy. He's--a friend I've met here."

Erik blinked a bit, suddenly quite curious as it seemed that this young man knew him somehow. He wondered if this was another person who knew another version of him from their own world. He could not help but chuckle softly at the awkwardness over the title for Charles. "You do not need to worry about making him feel old. He certainly acts the part," he said with a bit of a smirk.

The older of the pair then seemed to turn his full attention to the teen. "It is nice to meet you, Billy. Though it seems that you are already familiar with me."
