Right after Charles would have settled in to read, Raven knocked, but she also walked right in immediately after the knock, looking around. She was her blonde self, dressed in a blouse and blue jeans, and she closed the door behind her with a click. She smiled at her brother.

"Hey, sorry, I would've been here earlier but I was across town. Are you alright?"

Charles jumped at first, not having expected her to come in directly after that knock -- though he figured he should have. He smiled to himself once he was composed and looked up to meet his sister's familiar face. "Ah, you're here!" he greeted, folding his book and placing it aside on a small table while he stood to greet her properly.

"I am.. doing well enough. Quite absorbed in my studies, but yes. I have an awful lot to catch up on. It's really quite miraculous." he paused and shook his head with a laugh. "Sorry. What about you?"

"It's a lot to figure out, isn't it?" Raven smiled as she moved across the room and unceremoniously dropped down onto the couch next to where he had been sitting. "I'm still figuring so much of it out. And then there's all this other stuff happening that I only barely understand..." She shook her head."

"You need any help?"

He chuckled at the way she plopped herself onto the couch and took a seat beside her, though with a bit less throwing about of his body. He was smiling, though he seemed to be considering some things. He crossed his legs as he sat beside her, weaving his own fingers together and settling them on his higher knee.

"I... well, I have been curious. Can you tell me what you know about everything that is going on? Even if you hardly understand, I am sure we can piece something together from that." he said, smiling.

Raven wasn't entirely sure where to start, really. She'd been trying to piece together the things that were happening but she was missing the beginning.

"Okay." She started, then paused, then started again with a little laugh. "From what I've figured out, someone here from the government kidnapped some people a couple months ago. And somehow stole their powers from them. Or copied them. I'm not sure."

"Then they gave them to other people, right? And started a...hero organization. I guess sort of like when we were working with the CIA. But now they're just...giving them to anyone who volunteers."
