Ggio actually found it easier to sleep out here in the wild. There was no traffic, no noisy neighbors to wake him up early, and in a sense, he felt safer out there. Naturally, it was closer to noon before he finally roused himself from the sleeping bag, stretching out and too sleepy to find it odd he didn't wake up smacking Tom in the face.
He spent a few minutes rolling around, stretching out his spine and slowly waking up more, for once not tempted to just go back to sleep. The smell of cigarette smoke reached him, and while not welcome, at least let him know Tom was nearby.
Crawling towards the front, he unzipped the opening to the tent, easing back down onto his belly and propping his chin on a hand, yawning widely.
Tom really could see the appeal of being out here, and he did enjoy it from time to time, but he really did sleep better with the noise of sirens, traffic and pedestrians all outside the apartment complex. The silence, only interrupted by the sounds of wildlife were strange to him, hence why he woke up earlier than usual.
He was only about halfway through his cigarette when he heard Ggio open the the tent and stretch out. Without even thinking about it, his free hand moved to rub Ggio's back affectionately. "Morning. Did you sleep well?"
Immediately, Ggio started purring and laid down on crossed arms, breathing in deep the scent of the woods. For once, not even Tom's smoking him bothered him much. Being out among so much life just filled him with a rare kind of peace, which was just what he needed being that he was not only still recovering from Tom's 'kidnapping', but also the realization that he's been in this world for quite some time, now. And he wasn't entirely sure he was okay with this life.
But that wasn't his concern right now. Naturally, there was just one thing on his mind.
Tom smiled and continued rub Ggio's back as he finished his cigarette, taking his time since he knew that it'd be the only one he'd get until dinner time, especially if Ggio decided that they should go hunting later. Yeah, he knew the smoke gave away their position, but that was better than an irritated tomcat, right?
Once he finally finished smoking, he threw away the butt, and stood up, stretching a little. "Fish?" Oh crap, he didn't bring any rods, did he? He'd packed food in an ice chest in the hopes that he could somehow convince Ggio not to hunt. "I didn't bring any rods."
He shrugged and massaged the back of Ggio's neck. "We could still go down to the lake, though?"
