Charlie appeared two minutes after she promised she would, bursting to existence in a flare of pink light and smoke. She was dressed in blue and white pajamas and a pair of socks, and was holding a jeans skirt and a light blue t-shirt in her hands.

She waved to Hermoine, the t-shirt bouncing about in the air as she did so, then smiled brightly.

"Here, will these do?"

Hermione couldn't help but laugh softly. Charlie reminded her so much of Ginny that she felt herself relaxing without realizing it.

"I'm sure they will." she wobbled towards the girl and reached for the clothes, "Thank you for bringing them here."

"Sure!" She handed the clothes over, watching the girl wobble, and after a few seconds finally gave in.

"So...what's with the dress?"

Hermione sorted through the clothes before looking up sharply.

"O-Oh." she blushed, "I had to look like someone else."

The Polyjuice Potion had worn off when Gringotts's security measures had washed over her - literally.

Once Hermione found her way outside, there waiting for her was...nothing. A street, with some pedestrians and traffic. A city, like many other cities, albeit one with very tall buildings.

Then, a moment later, the familiar cry of a hippogriff, shortly followed by Sirius's barking laugh.

"Hallo the street! Gang way, everyone! Keep your distance, there's an intelligent group of people."

Sirius Black. Was flying a hippogriff. In front of muggles. In the middle of a city. In broad daylight. AND HE WAS SMILING LIKE HE THOUGHT HE WAS CLEVER.

In his own mind, he'd gone so native that it didn't even occur to him that she might think this behavior...odd.

The sudden rush of air got Hermione's attention first. Frowning, she brought out a wand - she didn't stop to see if it was Bellatrix's or her own - and held it tensely. Even with Muggles around, she knew better than to let her guard down. No one was safe these days.

But, upon hearing Sirius's laughter, she looked up at the sky, her expression turning to one of shock.

"Sirius, what are you doing?!" she glanced around at the Muggles awkwardly, "Get down here!"

Any attention he was attracting couldn't be good. Yet, that wasn't what was bothering her most. Was he going to take her for a ride on Buckbeak? She had just gotten off a dragon! And her fear of heights hadn't lessened much since her Third Year.

"It's alright, Hermione! They're used to us by now. Hullo everyone! He's not quite tame so just...go round a bit."

The crowd is...happy to just 'go round a bit'. And snap pictures with their camera phones. Sirius swings off Buckbeak and comes forward to give her a hug.

"You've grown! ...And you're terrified."

Despite herself, Hermione bit back a smile. He was a little too charming for his own good. She had always been wary of that. Unfortunately, Harry hadn't been so vigilant - not that she could blame him. The poor boy deserved some family.

The moment he dismounted, she closed the distance between them unsteadily. Bellatrix's boots were going to be the death of her. Now she understood why Achilles had been downed by a shot to the foot. But, never mind that. A hug was definitely in order. She wasted no time in wrapping her arms around him warmly.

"J-Just a bit!" she laughed, pulling back to examine him, "It was my bright idea to jump on the back of a dragon."

As soon as Tonks had told Hermione, she'd be right there, she had every intention of going right there. However, she had gotten delayed. Her signature was missing off of a couple of pieces of paperwork. Then she had to say where she was going. It was quite unfortunate and quite annoying in truth.

Tonks apparated to the Porter's building, seven minutes later than she had intended to. She appeared on the corner and started to look for her friend. She refrained from loudly bellowing Hermione's name and thought Hermione would see her before Tonks could see Hermione, what with her hair being a very bright shade of bubblegum pink.

Tonks's hair stood out vividly - that wasn't a problem in the least. Once Hermione spotted it, she gathered her strength and strode as quickly as possible to the witch.

"T-Tonks!" she called, smiling, "Are you alright?"

Once she reached the woman, she dragged her into a tight hug. It felt like forever since she had last seen her!

Tonks smiled when she saw Hermione. Her happiness to see her friend momentarily outweighs Hermione's appearance. She wraps her in a big hug. She is very happy to see her.

"I'm great Hermione. I couldn't be better."

It wasn't the exact truth but it wasn't an exact lie either.

"Oh, blimey, what am I doing?" She released her grip on her Hermione. "Enough about me, let's get you taken care of alright?"

The hug was much appreciated. While Hermione could be temperamental at times, she did like genuine affection. But that shouldn't be so surprising. Her parents were openly affectionate people too. Yet she hadn't had much affection lately. Even Harry and Ron seemed more distant than she liked. Stress was having a bad effect on everyone.

"O-Oh?" she clung to Tonks's hand, silently thanking whoever could hear her that her feet were on the ground, "I feel the same. I really do." she sighed and tilted her head, "I'm...fine. Mostly. I have a few burns on my arms and legs, but I had some dittany."

apologies for being so late! i_seethestrals July 31 2011, 08:53:45 UTC
Luna had meant to go inside and meet Hermione properly, but some strange sight had caught her fancy on the way, so she was running rather late.

Or, to be more precise, skipping along. To the utter bewilderment of passersby. Not that she minded much. They could stare all they liked. Her friend had returned and that was all that was important.

Though it might have been a good idea not to accidentally skip past the entrance.
