[ about ten minutes later, Jess is swinging in, dropping down on the rooftop. she pauses, body tensing, and then shakes her head, relaxes, and raises a hand ]

Oh, you got here before me for once.

[ a beat ]

Hey.

[Jeez, Jess, so late. Gerry had been starting to get bored, sitting at the edge of the building and shooting little web balls at some junk on the roof across from them, only his webbing penetrated the trash, going straight through it.

He jumps up when she arrives, rubbing the back of his neck, feeling a bit embarrassed, but unknowingly smiling under his mask.]

Hey! How's it going J- Spider-Woman?

[arakhnes]

[ she's dropping her hand, rubbing her own arm. wow this is really awkward. er. ]

It's going. You weren't waiting long, right?

[Yeah, it was still awkward, but he was still happy to see her. It was weird, and it wasn't like he was just going to spill his guts to her or act like she was actually his mom or anything. He might have needed that sometimes, but that would have just been uncomfortable.

He just kind of felt like he had someone in the family that was actually a part of his family, and he could trust her.]

Uhh... [He briefly looks back over his shoulder.] Not too long.
