[ There weren't a lot of people around to occupy him right now. Tim and Carrie were out -- he didn't know where or for how long, but if they were out on patrol it was no surprise that they would leave unannounced. People rarely ever told him where they were going. It probably had something to do with the fact that he would always offer to tag along.

With no people to occupy him, Bart was bored. He had a choice between mind-numbing video games and mind-numbing reality talk shows. He chose both, but there's still only so much you can do when you're the fastest boy alive. (Yes, he did try both at the same time as well ( ... )

[Mia had been concentrating so intensely on hitting her targets, she didn't even hear Bart until he popped up beside her. Of course, it wasn't like she could be prepared for a Speedster to run up beside her at the speed of light. She jumped a little and then broke out into a grin when she saw him.

This was a younger Bart than she knew and he definitely had more energy than the one she was friends with back... at home. And that was saying a lot. He'd already helped her out by bringing her to the Teen Titans Tower and helped her out with finding her room and everything. With him and Gar and Tim being here, it made her feel more at home.]

Oh! Hey, Bart! You scared me! I'm just... I guess practicing in harsh weather?

[She lowered her bow and looked at it and back to Bart.]

You wanna give 'er a whirl?

Do I? [ His hands reached out eagerly, fully expecting her to hand him the bow. He was right about her; she was nice. Anybody who willingly offers to entertain him cannot go wrong by Bart's book.

He has tried near everything at least once (he had the time to, after all), but archery was something new. Understandably, Bart was excited. He glances at the quiver strapped to her back. ]

Got any of those trick arrows in there? [ It may not be a good idea to let him shoot one. ]

[Mia saw how excited Bart got over the idea of archery, which in turn cheered her up immensely. She loved showing off her archery skills and adored the idea of mentoring someone else to practice the craft she'd mastered and nearly perfected. Her grin grew and she handed him her bow.]

OK, well, I do have some trick arrows, like the boxing glove arrow, glue arrow, net arrow... but maybe you should try a regular arrow first before working up to those. They can be um, well, [a laugh] kind of tricky.

[she pulled a regular arrow out of her quiver and moved around so that she could help him hold the bow properly]
