Sam looked up, snapping back into reality. He took a moment to measure the girl, well, woman really, before answering with a small shrug.
"Uh, yeah, I guess. Thanks."
Meaning no, not at all. But he did move to the side a little bit, thinking that he was perhaps in her way. And she seemed nice enough. Not that his perceptions carried much merit these days.

"You sure? I know it can be pretty nuts being new here, we've all pretty much done it before. Some people a bunch of times, actually. You looking for somewhere?" She glanced at his map to indicate what she meant.

"Is it that obvious I'm new?"

That is to say he finds it strange as he turns the corner and nearly smacks right into her. Looking down when he walks is a habit he needs to develop more, apparently.
"Sorry- Are you ok?"

"Don't move" He said, keeping his focus fixed on it and going for his pocket - inside of which he carried a gun. For all he knew it was some kind of goblin about ready to attack her. Good thing Sam had bumped into her when he did!

At the moment, he was wandering back towards the MAC, though halted when he saw someone who looked... Pretty lost.
Wandering over, he gave a friendly wave to the stranger. "Hey. You lost?"
Reply
"A little." With a light shrug.
"I heard there was an old church around here somewhere. You wouldn't happen to know anything about that, would you?"

Unfortunately though, that meant that he couldn't really help him, as he hadn't really gotten used to where things were just yet. Didn't think he'd ever be, considering the size of the city.
He shook his head then, looking apologetic. "No, sorry... I'm kind of new here, so..."
