[Terry was a little tense when he walked through the door, his movements tight and sharp with annoyance. He smiled and relaxed a little when he saw Kara, but the ghost of the emotion still showed in how he moved.]

Hey.

I ever tell you that you look good in those glasses?

[ She looks surprised for a moment before smiling brightly. ]

No, actually. But that's nice to hear.

[ A pause. The smile dims a bit and she looks at him curiously. ] Something wrong?

[He grins at her, just a hint of his teasing sort of leer slipping into his expression, though still an honest enough smile, and kind. He was teasing her, because that was what he did - a token of days past - but it didn't mean he didn't mean it.]

Well really, you look good in everything, so it's not that unusual.

[His expression shifts a bit, and the good-natured ease becomes a little more forced.]

It's nothing. Just some twip on the network. Got on my nerves. Funny how fast that can happen, right?

[ She laughs and hides a smile behind a sip of coffee. Luckily, she's (mostly) gotten past the whole blushing and compliments thing by now. ]
