Hospital is saved! Koolwabara and the Gang killerjoke February 4 2011, 19:33:53 UTC
Everyone is on high alert after that first hospital went. Bomb sniffing dogs are called in and checking floor by floor, but there are too many hospitals and not enough dogs. Not only that, but the victims and patients from the first hospital have to be sent to outlying hospitals and it's just a crazy, crazy mess.

Fortunately for one hospital, a group of imPorts is coming to see to their safety.

[ooc: Not sure if you need me for any interaction here, but if you want them to catch some goons planting the bombs/guarding them, I can do that!]

The upside of having your ability to feel in the extreme taken away? Perceived crushing failure doesn't end up feeling quite so crushing.

The first hospital to go... Kuwabara thought he'd been wrong, and that the tip the police had received that led them here had been wrong, too. But, no. Now that he was here, he was sure of it. How often did too wrongs make a right, huh?

"They'll be here." He was still fairly placid, sighing and turning to Yusuke. "I don't know anything about bombs. What? We just go after the thugs and hope they don't have a remote?"

[[ ooc; sorry about the timing! I've suddenly become super-busy, apparently. I'm not sure how quickly we'd be moving, and I'd hate to bug you about it, so... I'm cool with just assuming any arrests, if that's good with you. ]]

The men that were hired weren't exactly professionals. They were good, but most demolitions experts had at least a sense of decency. The type of people that you could hire to blow up a hospital weren't decent people.

They didn't quite fit in. Doctors, orderlies, janitors and other mundane jobs were good disguises in a hospital, but in the busy life of the hospital they look slightly out of sync if someone was looking for them.

[ooc: No worries, we can move at whatever pace you want!]

Bank Hiest, stopped by Lyra and Awesome Force and the Littlest Captain America killerjoke February 4 2011, 19:51:35 UTC
Bank heist with the Joker were generally easy money, if you could survive them. And it wasn't the police or the heroes you had to worry about surviving, but the Joker. Not that he always killed his crew, but it did happen on occasion. Survival though meant a hell of a lot of money and enough respect that no one messed with you. After all, if you were crazy enough to run with the Joker, who was going to mess with you?

This crew was doubly hardened, all of them doing this because it was the best of a group of bad choices. The plan was fairly straightforward; they would blow the hell out of the east wall of the bank and use some special military grade explosives to go directly through one of the safe's walls from there. Smash and grab with all of them armed to the teeth for whatever might pop up to greet them.

All That Jazz saved by the Straw Hats killerjoke February 4 2011, 22:43:31 UTC
From presidents to cartoon characters, each of the heavily muscled, well armed, and highly trained goons had some sort of ridiculous mask on. The only similarity is that every mask was grinning almost ear to ear. Not only that, but they were all a little hopped up on some Joker Venom. They'd be feeling no pain and their physical limits would be pushed to the max ( ... )

Friday nights were busy nights at the club, one of the nights Sanji was almost guaranteed to be working a full shift. Much to his chagrin, his two crewmates had decided to drop in for dinner along with all the regular patrons - since, of course, they'd get it on the house. And free booze too. It was just like the first time they met, really. But Sanji was too busy to hang out with them, he spent most of the night in the kitchen cooking and directing traffic.

The loud crash from out front made him suddenly stop what he was doing and raise his head. What the hell? That damn idiot better not have gotten into a fight with the bartender, he thought to himself, perfectly willing to blame Zoro for any loud noises and mayhem. A waitress managed to slip into the kitchen before backing against the door as if to barricade it shut. Her eyes were wide with panic. "Ohmygodohmygod, somebody just crashed a truck into the building!" she squealed. "It's like, I don't know, an invasion or something ( ... )

"No one I know." The implied assumption that everything was his fault went over his head. He was too distracted buy the goons anyway, examining their movements, spotting their weaknesses, normal things that swordsmen like Zoro do. He hasn't drawn his swords yet, but his hand is resting on them protectively.

And with his other hand he raised a glass of sake to his lips, taking a swig. As if he'd let these punks ruin his drinking time. He smirks around the glass, eying the one in the tutu. The leader, Zoro guessed.

"Look like fun, though."

And then they started playing the music. And Zoro's face just... dropped. He pulled out his swords, nodding his head back towards the kitchen. "Get the cook."
