[He often didn't run into people on patrol, least of all figures that looked suspiciously Jason-shaped. He decided to investigate, it being a quiet night and all. Almost peaceful.

Danny crept closer to the figure, not to sneak up on them so much as to make sure it was Jason. It was. Well, fancy that. He approaches him, taking a seat next to where he's standing.]

Weird seeing you up here.

[Looking down at Danny with a "what are you even talking about" face, Jason just as quickly dismissed the comment with an eyeroll that might or might not have been apparent through the mask's lenses.]

I'm fucking bored. Are you almost done?

oh hey it's Talia's total BFF meowminx February 2 2011, 23:53:33 UTC
Plenty of nights she didn't follow a specific route. It wasn't a patrol in the strictest sense of the word. Stopping trouble if she found it, but not really looking for it. The City was full of people doing that.

And sometimes she ran into them, like tonight. She approached quietly, not exactly creeping, but not announcing her presence either.

If he hadn't already been listening for anything out of the ordinary, he wouldn't have heard her, and they weren't such common acquaintances that he could recognize her by the sound of her approach. Jason gave no sign he'd picked up on anything and waited. Chances were, in this city, that it was going to be someone from off the network. That didn't preclude the possibility of violence, but he was patient enough to wait and see who it was before pulling a gun.

She was cautious, but she was also capable of being polite. "Hi Jason," she finally uttered when she was a few yards away and not being attacked. Always a good thing.

While he didn't exactly relax, his stance veered to a more casual, conversational mien than a ready and wary one.

"Hey." Neutral-friendly, Jason remained where he was while he observed Selina, hands at his sides. Rather than let things become awkward, he moved forward into conversation. "Rumor has it I have you to thank for getting Bruce in the door at the Christmas party."
