The Lanterns appeared shortly after sunset, formless, faceless men draped in black cloaks moving along the streets of the city, large poles resting on their shoulders with softly glowing lanterns dangling from the end, swinging back and forth as they walked. Wherever they went, the local spirits emerged to follow, in packs of twos and threes, all

It did not take much to guess what followed. The pattern was clear enough, but it was no less worrisome for its familiarity. And Vector could only hold to his hope that somewhere, somehow...
...things went differently.

More minutes pass until finally, one lifts their head and squints their eyes, looking towards the back of the audience.
"Someone's coming." He says, and the others look up to look.
The figure they're looking at stands at the back of the audience, a large cloak concealing their form as they approach the stage.
"What is it?" Another actor asks.
"I can't tell."
The figure approaching the stage walks faster, closing the distance between it and the actors quickly. When they arrive on stage, the cloak is thrown off to show this monstrosity grabbing all of them and running off stage. The last sound the audience hears are the actors screaming things such as "OH DEAR GOD" and ( ... )

and oh god SORRY FOR EDITSPAM, KIMIKO, LMAO.
A silhouetted figure stands midstage...and is not exactly human. Oh, the basic limb structure is there, but the proportions are slightly off - and there is far more bulk, as if they are wearing armor. He even 'clunks' when he walks.
Abruptly, another rushes on. This one is a bit more inhuman - the silhouette of great pauldrons upon the shoulders, a part on the back that looks almost like a big, thick tower shield - and two appendages that resemble triangular wings, though they're worn more like parts of a cape.
Both of their faces are masked with guards that vaguely resemble two certain symbols. Anyone used to those symbols would notice they look far more archaic.
The first figure turns to greet the other as he rushes onto the stage.
"Vector?" is all he asks, clearly wondering what has him in such a panic.
"Megatronus." The second all but skids ( ... )

"You don't understand," he says abruptly, turning away. "I was trying to fix things instead of just-just cutting them off like I would in that situation, normally. They were still fighting, Megatronus, they deserved another chance! And I tried to give it to them, I swear I wasn't trying to do it myself, I was just trying to let them-!"
He halts himself with a final, frustrated noise, hands to his head as he forces himself to calm again. When he speaks, his voice is hollow and grieving.
"It made things worse. It caught the next few Streams next to them, the stable ones, and now, they, too..."
Megatronus strides after the other silhouette, taking him by the arm and carefully - but firmly - turning him back to face him. He places a reassuring hand on the other's shoulder.
"Tick-tock," he speaks the nickname gently, "I'm sure it's difficult for a temporal being to accept this, but what's done is done. You can't save ( ... )

This, on the other hand...this was different.
After sitting through a few, peeking in to others, Vector Prime finally found the one he was searching for - that with his name. However, he did not expect the other's there, and stared at it for some minutes before silently opening his communicator and sending a message.
I found something of interest.

The young actor is drawing in a book, with an old, almost used up pencil and he doesn't look up or move from the spot.
The man with the book standing at the side of the stage starts to read;
"Everything had been quiet, the entire day ( ... )

"Though he was trying to apologize for what he was done, Sora's sister would not listen to him. It mattered not to her that the child was crying as she shook him, that he felt as if though he would break from the furious shaking. To her the only thing that mattered was that Sora was punished for his crimes. He was no child in her eyes, simply a murdered, a freak, a God of Death that had killed its mother by being born. Had killed her mother by being born."
The female actor now pushes the the boy roughly to the center of the stage as the setting is changed back to the basement and she pushes him forward. He does not turn to look at her.
"You stay down there and wait for punishment! I am telling father when he comes home, what a ungrateful little monster you are!" She yells, before walking off the stage. The actor then curls up into a little ball on the floor and starts to shake and cry fearfully, yet softly, quietly.
"As Sora sat ( ... )
