SUMMARY: John's looking for a job, and Jack thinks he'd be perfect for STARS. But before one can get recruited to the police's tactical unit, one has to get recruited to the police. Interviewing and testing is called for.

Jack considered the fact that STARS hadn't been deployed in months to be a good thing- it meant that there had been no terrorist crises necessitating the use of the police force's all-Import response unit. But that was no excuse for allowing them to lose their edge. Jack hoped that adding a new member in the form of John would help reinvigorate his people as they adjusted their tactics to John's abilities and expertise. Having someone on the police force qualified to deal with WMDs would be a good thing no matter what, considering the City's past experiences with chemical, biological and nuclear attacks.
There was a standard procedure for hiring and qualifying a police officer, but STARS wasn't a standard unit. Jack had set up his own series of tests to make sure Raimi had what it took. The first obstacle- Jack himself, sitting behind a desk, ready to ask questions.
