It was generally too bright and loud in here, but one look at Mamori's face made it very clear that complaining about things would launch a tirade, so he just rolled his eyes and went to investigate the food. Strawberry muffins. He'd have to ask about that later.

He strode in looking nonchalant, and immediately spotted a blond kid he hadn't been formally introduced to yet; however, he had a pretty good idea of who this might be.
"'Ey," he said with a smirk, grabbing a cookie and popping it into his mouth.

"Yes?" he said warily.

"Fantastic party, huh? The energy in here's great. Didn't catch your name, though."

And he just wanted to sleep. But no, Mamori had gotten it into her little stupid girlhead that she needed to have a PARTY for some stupid kid that Hiruma didn't even like very much and invite over even MORE people he didn't like especially Mello god why did she fucking bother with that guy. To be honest, Mello made Hiruma uncomfortable. He was too cold, too calculating, and was going to hurt Mamori. He knew it.
Anyway, the most important thing was that there was music and it was annoying. He glared at the noise canceling headphones that Mamori had bought for him. Yeah, they'd work just fine. If he has normal fucking ears. As it was, they were very, very uncomfortable and didn't really work to boot ( ... )

He was in full cloak, sure, but with a gathering of this many people (and presents!) how could he resist? Listening in on everyone, snooping on the gifts, the food- it was his right, darnit! And so he lied in wait, for all the players to arrive, listening, watching, as was his unbreakable habit.

"Hi! This's where the party's goin' on, right?"

And it looked like she'd brought noisemakers, too. Joy. He contemplated suicide by paper cup.

"MARSHY-MELLO!"
She squealed, dropped the box to the side and dove at Mello without much of a care at all.
"I haven't seen you in ages oh my god you're so adorable in person I forgot, geez what did you do with your haaaair it's so soft and silky!"
She was all over him, babbling and laughing and running her fingers through his hair like it was the most natural thing in the world to be doing. Oh, and also sitting on him. After all, you can't just harass someone without pinning them down properly, now can you?

"Jesus Christ, what is your malfunction?" he managed.

He stood inside the hallway just by the open door, listening to see who all was there so far--the usual suspects, he supposed. Which included Mello, of course, and Trowa still didn't trust him. Not after what had just happened the week or so before. Not after what else he'd heard.
He slid into the apartment, moving quietly towards the main room and leaning against the wall, standing in one of the corners.
While Duo had the monopoly on perfect cloaking skills, Trowa was well used to infiltrating busy places, silently and without being seen. He figured that even if someone had seen the kid in the dark teal turtleneck come in, they would be too busy with the party to be bothered about it.
He closed his eyes for a moment, just... listening.

On his second sweep of the room, his eyes fell on Trowa, quickly narrowing. He allowed his gaze to stay on him for several long moments. The message was very, very clear.
The feeling is mutual.

Heero wouldn't have brought a present here even if he had the money for one--it was hard to admit, but it almost seemed too personal. How would any other person understand anything he might have gotten for Duo?
The least he could do aside from that was show up. So he did.
He walked into the room and immediately scanned the crowd, sticking his hands in the pockets of his very tattered jean jacket. The majority were people he didn't know. Then he noticed Trowa, sticking to a corner. He immediately walked over and stood next to him, keeping his hands in his pockets.
"Didn't think you'd show," he said, voice low.
Reply
"I wasn't going to," he replied, being sure to keep equally quiet.
Trowa looked at Mello for a moment before returning his gaze to his fellow pilot, indicating the reason for his attendance.
