[after Sirius had messaged her the whereabouts of the workshop, she had Apparated straight over. Upon entering the warehouse, she raises an eyebrow and smirks to see him surrounded by a chaotic mess]

Let me guess... [she moves closer to inspect what he is up to] Wizard crackers?

SHHHH! IT'S A SURPRISE FOR THE PARTY! [Sirius informs her in the LOUDEST WHISPER KNOWN TO MAN.

[He gets up and somehow extricates himself without tripping over or crushing anything, and walks up to...hug her. He is still figuring out this hugging thing, but a quick, one-armed sort of maneuver seemed to be more or less alright for both of them.]

How's the apartment?

[she returns the hug, then puts a finger to her lips when they break apart]

Don't worry. Secret's safe with me.

[she picks up a paper hat and looks at it.]

Yeah, the apartment's good. Bit too unnaturally clean to begin with, but my being there soon sorted that out. I prefer a bit of mess and disorder over, you know, order.

It is the grime of protection! Funny how people don't seem to understand that. Take this warehouse, for example? Can you imagine working in a place like this without a bit of wholesome dust about? Madness.

Speaking of, the brooms're over here, and over there is flying motorbike HQ.

[He points appropriately, and wanders over to Broom Station.]

There's not much to show for it. We're having to sortof go from scratch and common sense, since it's not like any of us brought one with us.

[Man, being not able to apparate sucks. Eventually James pokes his head in and gingerly picks his way over the piles of stuff in the room, grinning.]

Hallo, want some help?

[Not being able to apparate or fly? That was really the worst. HENCE THEIR EFFORTS!]

Prongs! [Sirius smiles his HELLO JAMES smile. It is his very biggest smile.]

Yes. We need to figure out the balloons. Should we blow them up first and then shrink them and put them in, or should we charm them to blow themselves up when the cracker opens?

[Indeed! It would be SO MUCH EASIER to prank people if they could apparate, but noooooo.

Anyway. He flops down (carefully) next to Sirius, being sure to not smash anything underneath.]

Mmm, I think we should charm them to blow themselves up. More fun that way, yeah?

[He shoves some stuff out of the way so that James can come sit down.]

[ There's a weird white-haired guy standing outside when Terry gets there. He sort of just gives the dude this skeptical, flat look before knocking on the door. ]

It's cold out here, Wiz. Just saying.

[Here's another person who can just Apparate right in, so Harry does. He takes a moment to himself to glance around, but after Weasley's Wizarding Wheezes, none of it is that new to him. When he's taken in the sights, he moves to the middle of all the chaos with a smile.]

[Sirius's head appears from the other side of Miranda in the Motorbike Corner and grins at Harry.]

Hi Harry! Yeah, innit? Belonged to a friend of mine, before he got 'ported out. He made the invisibility thing for Miranda here. You don't happen to know what spell they use to make brooms brake, do you?"

Hey. [Harry navigates through the mess and stops when he reaches Sirius.]

[He's sitting on the floor, covered in smudges of grease, and couldn't look happier. A few sheets of graph paper scattered around him covered with notes.]

Neither does anyone. I'm trying to figure out how I did it for Miranda here, only she's not really anything like a broom, in some regards. What James wouldn't give for even one of the old Cleensweep Twos the school has - we had a sit-down the other day and tried to figure out the steering based on his muscle memory. He was hopping around the place with a mop between his legs.
