Islington has been walking along the beach for a few minutes now. It is barefoot, its shoes on top of the picnic basket that it carries. It can smell the brine of the ocean on the light breeze. The angel cannot imagine where it would rather be than seaside. Glancing away from the water, it sees Knives, the only other person on the beach, and waves.

Knives sees Islington perhaps a moment after it sees him, and he waves back briefly (even though he feels somewhat ridiculous for doing so) before going to meet it. He approaches, quirking a brow at the angel's choice to walk barefoot. It's cold, especially for someone from a desert planet, but perhaps Islington doesn't notice the temperature as much. Thus, Knives nods in greeting and casts a curious glance at the basket it is carrying.

"Something for later?"

Islington smiles at him. "Lunch. I thought that you might be hungry." It is conscious of the cold, although it does not mind it as a rule. Old habits die hard, although it seems to feel the cold more here than it remembers feeling it during the nights on Atlantis. Of course, that was so long ago that it may simply be misremembering. It curls its toes into the sand. "Would you like to eat now, or are you ready to go swimming?"

Well, he isn't exactly hungry since he doesn't particularly need food, but he's curious what Islington thought to bring so he tilts his head to the side, the faintest hint of a smile ghosting over his lips. "I appreciate that. Thank you." He blinks, the offer to go swimming not only taking him by surprise. That...isn't exactly something he came with the mind to do since 1) it's really cold, and 2) he doesn't know how. "Eat now, I suppose. I don't think I'll be able to join you for the swim, though. I'm not...very resistant to the cold, unfortunately."
