Oy, what a day, what a long, tiring, exhausting day. Laurie was completely beat from her shift, and had she not made plans to have coffee with Aaron Grey after work, she would have gone straight home and into her bathtub before collapsing into bed and sleeping like a log. But she had made plans with Aaron, and she'd spent an hour or so after work drinking coffee and chatting and very pointedly not discussing their strange nostalgic adventure into his home world. He was such a nice man, and so friendly. She could say quite honestly that she was glad to call him a friend, and even more glad that his murder charges had all been cleared, just as she knew they would be ( ... )

Unseen by the woman's eyes, Rorschach watched her every move in perfect silence, up to the point, where she grabbed her communicator. It was then, that he moved forward, a single thought being just moments quicker than himself /As dependant as ever./He would have snorted, but refrained from doing so. Instead, the man stepped right up to her, one hand grabbing her wrist, holding it and the woman in place, his other hand taking the little device from her before she could finish dialing. As soon as he had Laurie's communicator, Rorschach returned to visibility, black and white shifting idly as he spoke "Wouldn't do that. Came to talk ( ... )

Laurie cried out in pain, cursing loudly at him before she even fully realized who the intruder was. Instinct was already kicking in, she was already struggling, hissing as she tried to force her way out of his grip. She could do some damage, she knew she could defend herself, how the hell what he overpowering her like this?

Her first reaction? He was going to rape her. It wasn't a rational response, but what other reason did he have for breaking into her home and grabbing her from behind like that? What else could he possibly want? He didn't want to talk, he was a psychopath. He was going to hurt her and rape her and kill her. That sick son of a--

"Let go of me, you bastard!" She snarled in the midst of her struggle, rage and fear rising in her expression. "Get your hands off of me! Let go of me!"

Most everyone else would most likely had let go of her that very moment she started struggling. Rorschach, however, reacted on pure instinct, resulting in an action usually reserved to keep a captive criminal from getting away once more. In one quick movement, he twisted Laurie's arm around where he was still holding it, not letting go. His free arm went up and around her neck quickly. An attempt to keep that trashing from getting too wild.

Behind his mask, he growled angrily at the resistance "Stop that!" Rorschach demanded, and there was a slight hiss crawling into his voice as he added "Came to talk!"

As if it would make it any better, he gave the woman's captured limb another quick jerk, putting more strain on it than actually necessary. Sure. He hadn't really expected this to be not bothersome in some way, but this was a little bit different from what he had been expecting.
