There was a rule about patrolling but she was in plainclothes and it wasn't that late so technically she was just walking around the City observing. Lately there was a lot that needed observing, like people who were one moment your best friend and the next shooting you in the gut, not to mention all that talk about brainwashing. Made a girl want to take extra percaution and in Stephanie's case that included a few hours each night "observing."
Whatever had been going on had seemed to quiet down. Just your typical loonies talking to themselves and looking for a corner to spend the night in. One could almost forget this wasn't Gotham.
The night was still fairly young and there didn't seem to be any excitement going on, so Steph gave herself one more block to "observe" before heading back home.
