[It's just a second before the door opens for him, like it was before. She's still teaching the tower to recognize Ted, though the final opening sequence can only be triggered manually. She sometimes worries about shape-shifters. There are none in the city she knows of, but that's just it. A good shape-shifter would be able to hide it... but this is Ted, and he'd be hard to imitate.]

Morning, Ted. Want some coffee?

[She's getting some for herself in the kitchen area, which is open to the rest of the floor.]

[He heads in and waves at her, heading over.] Ngh, please. It's too early to be conscious on a weekend.

[sibyllant]

[She laughs.] Ah, did I tear you away from a few more hours?

[Pouring a second mug, she offers it to him when he's near enough. They've worked together enough in the past that Babs thinks she knows how Ted likes his coffee, but there's cream and sugar on the table as well.]

Say, Ted... I was running some numbers the other night and found some irregularities with your start-up funds. I think you might be getting hacked.
