Lorna was in a mood ever since her fight with Alex, but as usual, she kept her feelings inside and refused to take it out on anyone else. This evening, she was actually taking a walk through The City, trying her best to focus on something else besides Alex Summers.

Rachel could try following her, but the second Lorna was close enough to her, Rachel's magnetic field will be sensed.

That one was different. Her hair was green.

The woman who used to be Rachel decided to follow and look closer.

When Rachel was close enough, Lorna caught feel of the magnetic field. She turned around, and scanned the area for her.

"Rachel?"

Looking over her shoulder, the woman turned back to the green-haired woman.

"Who is Rachel?"

Well, Helena had told him he should get out of the apartment without Booster. So, why not now? It was a nice night for a walk (or a flight, really), so Ted was out and about, enjoying the evening breeze. He was currently intent on finding someplace to eat, so he probably wouldn't notice someone following him.

The woman now called Juliet saw the man and she froze. Instinctively she reached for the device at her side and brought it near her mouth.

"Target acquired."

Where she had been timid, she was now bold, where there had been hesitation there was only the impulse to act. Sliding into the evening crowd, she began to hunt.

There was an Italian place down the street, according to the navigation on his phone. Hmmm, pizza sounded really good. Ted grinned to himself and sped up, fighting the urge to unfold his wings and just fly the rest of the way. That would hardly be inconspicuous.

Juliet began to close the gap, edging her way around and past people. This was a public place, hardly ideal, but she had her orders.

When he picked up speed, she worried that she had been sighted and she picked up her own tempo, knocking down a man. A few people gasped, but Juliet ignored them.

If he hadn't had that fight with Lorna, he might have run into Rachel sooner-- but the searches were proving fruitless, and all Alex had to go by was random sightings of a possible redhead.

He was worried about his niece. He was so worried about her. It showed in his clenched jaw and straightened back, in the way he fumbled to turn up the collar of his coat as he stepped out of a store on a street. She was one of the strongest telepaths around, he knew, and now that Emma was gone, he wasn't sure there was anything anyone could do for her even if they found her. And that was both their telepaths down. It was hard not to draw connections, even though there might be none.

The woman that had been Rachel wandered again, nervously. She'd had encounters that unsettled her, but she knew there had to be a reason. Her handlers had put her on the street for a reason, she just had to trust them. She came out of a shop and looked around, choosing a random direction to take off in.

He was actually sure that she wasn't Rachel. There was no way he'd be that lucky, and the way she was walking-- nervous and ill-at-ease-- did nothing to remind him of his niece.

But he took a closer second look anyway, and swore under his breath. The stature was the same, and she had the same brilliant red hair. It was worth a shot.

"Excuse me," he said, making his way through the pedestrians that stood between them. He had to check. He had to know.

Me? Was he talking to me? She turned to find the source of that voice, finally facing Alex, although she doesn't know he's the one who spoke. Scanning the crowd, the hound-marks are still a silent reminder of who she was.
