[Pietro arrived a few seconds after Cage. His legs had healed up enough to make the short run from the apartment to the mansion with minimal trouble. The last time Pietro was here, it had been a rather awkward experience. No one wanted to discuss the elephant that had loomed over them all. He didn't really anticipate that this meeting would be any better, though perhaps they wouldn't have to be quite so guarded. That was probably for the better. Between his injured legs and the medications for it, he didn't think he had the patience to mince words.]

Sleeping or counting their money, no doubt. We'll start any ways.
[ He stood up, back straight, and carried his voice across the kitchen, so everyone could hear--not only in the kitchen, but down the halls too. ]
So, yeah--I ain't no official Avenger here, but I'm inviting myself in any ways. We all know each other: Thor, Mockingbird, Quicksilver, Hawkeye, Luke Cage. [ He pointed to himself. ] We're all Avengers either here or back where we came from ( ... )

The situation isn't the same as it was back home. Certainly, Osborn doesn't have the government backing him, but they do, in a way support him and his team, the same way they've been supporting ours. We might not be fugitives anymore, but Norman has adapted as well.
If he has slipped up or done anything illegal, he's covering it up much better than he did back home. I think it could be possible that he's further in the timeline, like you, Luke, and that has prompted him to change his strategy.

So if he's changed his strategy, we should too. Because what we're doing right now? Not working.
Every single one of us knows Osborn and knows what he's capable of, and we're sitting around on our asses, not doing a damn thing while history repeats itself. What the hell, guys. We should know better than this.
[She sighs, obviously frustrated.]
I don't mean to take away any credit, Hank, but can you honestly tell me the Avengers are a team right now? Are any of us even on the same page about who we are and what we stand for?

If you have a better idea, then I would like to hear it, because there's nothing here that we can bust him on. He hasn't just been going by the book here, but he's also been actually doing heroic things, as much as I hate to say it. He's helped put a stop to the HIVE, stopped Nico Minoru from self-destructing... The guy even protected Steve when they were shot at. I hate it, really I do. I don't want to let him run free.
What do you propose to do, though? We have nothing on him, no proof of foul play. If we bust in and beat up him and his team, then we're in the wrong, we're vigilantes that he can press charges against and make himself look good. Or do you intend to kill him? Because that's definitely not what we stand for.
[He sighs, rubbing the bridge of his nose.]I know that things haven't been running smoothly, but we're not just sitting still, or did you already forget about Mexico? The ( ... )

[Pietro was marginally more content with the conversation now that it had shifted from pizza to well, actually Avenging. The arrivals of Hank and Thor didn't hurt either, even if he had a limited tolerance for them after the Loki affair.]
In my personal opinion, the most important thing the Avengers can do here at this moment is build infrastructure. After we take down whatever villains exist here where do they go? Jails that cannot contain them, only to have them escape and reek havoc on the public again. To bring this back to the issue of Osborn... While we cannot legitimately remove him from play at the moment, we can make certain that when we do it will, it will actually last.

The people of this country know nothing of the threat Osborn poses them, and we cannot afford to wait until his intentions are bared. The damage will be done by then. We must needs warn them; all of them that would support him. I will tell them what became of Asgard.
[His tone implied that no one would be able to deny what a problem Osborn was if they heard it from him - cynicism, mistrust, and the nature of the accusation be damned.]

No, we don't bust in. [ As much as Luke liked busting in and taking names. ] I agree with Bobbi--we change strategy. I don't know where y'all are from in the--[ God, he hated this. ]--time stream. I ain't been here long myself, but I know what the status quo is back home. I know how Osborn completely lost himself on live national television ( ... )

You can't say we're not above the law when we've all done things that contradict that very statement. Every single one of us has taken the law into our own hands, well intentioned, well meaning or not.
We might know what we stand for, but does the average citizen? No. No, they don't. I introduce myself as an Avenger, and I get asked if I'm working for Norman Osborn. It's fu-- it's really insulting.
[As for Mexico, she couldn't help but think they were awfully damn lucky that the Mexican authorities hadn't decided the Avengers had been invading their country. Bobbi was genuinely surprised how little press their exploits had received, especially in comparison to Norman's team unveiling a few weeks later.]We're disorganized to the point where I don't even know who the hell is still around. We're scattered, not just physically ( ... )
