Cassie was afraid of clowns? Really? Clowns? Billy thought. But he couldn't blame her for being afraid of this bunch--the way they leered and cackled was more than a little disturbing. He'd never seen so much tongue in his life.

Billy rushed to cast a locator spell on Eli's orders. Fortunately, he'd been practicing those, and he had no trouble finding Cassie's position and flying there. He couldn't see her anywhere, though.

"Cassie?" he called.

Cassie had never been so happy to hear someones voice in her whole life. She looked out from her hiding place and made sure that the clown people were looking another direction before growing back to her normal size and waving for Billy.

"Over here!" She grabbed for her com and tried to slip away from the clowns. She was going to give Billy such a huge hug when all this was over.

Billy spotted Cassie and flew down, making a shield around them as he did. He let the clowns beat their hands fruitlessly against it, turning to look at Cassie over his shoulder.

"Are you all right?"

She laughed humorlessly and nodded.

"I'll be fine when all of these freak show rejects disappear. Anyone have any idea what happened to them?" She moved away from the shield and closer to Billy.
