Work was really slow. Really, really slow. Slow enough that he actually didn't have anything to do. All the books had been put back, he had dusted everything, and generally invented things to do but was finally done with all of them. He wished a costumer would come in just so he'd have something to do.

Megan had spontaneously teleported in the middle of the City's sidewalks or streets enough times to know that it wasn't exactly appreciated by the people around her. That's why today, she spontaneously teleported directly inside the bookshop where her friend Josh worked part time.

"Oy?" she blinked and looked around curiously once the pink light died away. Wow, it was dead in there! "Hello?"

Oddly enough, the pink light didn't really startle Josh, in fact be got a bit excited when he saw it, it meant either Pixie or Charlie was stopping by.

"Oh yeah," he said with a nod. "It's seriously dead, but you're here so I'm saved from death by boredom."

She looked up when she heard a familiar voice answer her, and smiled. "Hey, there you are. I was hoping you'd be working today. Partly because I feel I haven't seen you outside of school in a while, and partly because, well... I wanted to ask how all that went... with Miss Scathach."

After work Josh had come home to unwind and relax. A little light training and some video games was his normal routine after work but he was feeling a bit restless. He wasn't sure if he should do more training or video games to get rid of that feeling. Maybe he could see if anyone wanted to go hang out or at least come over.

It hadn't taken much to track down Josh's home address. Employment records and the signal on his comm were clear so she had no hesitation in walking up to the door and knocking on it, shuffling the package she had in her arms.

Josh was just munching on a banana when there was a knock at the door. Heading downstairs he smiled a bit when he saw who it was.

"Hey," he said, opening the door for his friend. "Come on in."

"Thank you."

She stepped into the apartment and held out the package.

"This is for you, it is a cake. I made it to thank you."
