Bruno was about two notches south of bouncing up and down on his heels like a 10 year old. As it was, a grown man smiling like a fool in the middle of the lobby of Kaibacorp's office building was an odd enough sight, drawing slightly puzzled stares from the men and women in suits and white collars who were filing in and out, not that Bruno particularly noticed. The fact that he was wearing his usual t-shirt + jeans + colorful jacket fare probably didn't help either. (Franziska had already been at school by the time he'd left the house.)

He passed a USB stick back and forth between his hands excitedly, watching the revolving doors for the first sight of Yuusei. Bruno had left him a message to meet him here before they went up to Kaiba's office together, but he'd arrived a little bit early just in case. He'd never known Yuusei to be late.

Truth to be told, Yuusei wasn't even half as excited about the whole concept as Bruno was. Not that he didn't like the idea of building a D-Wheel here - no, it was quite the contrary - but he still had to wonder whether it was all right for them to get into such details as the construction of the machines with someone who was, well, from the past. They had yet to find out how it was possible for people from different timelines to appear in one place, and he didn't exactly feel comfortable with the thought their actions could affect the history somehow. Especially when considered the Yliaster's goal.

Nevertheless, Yuusei would never turn down an offer to work on D-Wheels, and this time wasn't an exception. Thus, he arrived at KaibaCorp headquarters at the agreed hour, figuring it would be better to discuss it all in person with Kaiba himself. He quickly spotted Bruno (it would be difficult not to) and headed in his direction. Certainly, the other man seemed enthusiastic enough for both of them.

Punctual as always, Kaiba finished the last of his preparations just before the intercom on his desk went off.

"Mr Kaiba," a female voice came through. "The gentlemen you were waiting for have arrived."

He had been having bad luck with receptionists and secretaries but this one seemed to have at least one brain cell in her head. She had been watched the two men enter the building and was able to figure out for herself that they were there for the meeting. Not a thrilling amount of deduction, but far beyond what the last one had been able to do.

He pressed the button on the intercom to reply, "Good. Bring them in."

The receptionist came over to greet Bruno and Yuusei and show them the way to Kaiba's office.

The idea of influencing the past somehow had been a passing thought at best to Bruno. After all, it wasn't like they were teaching Kaiba in detail about Momentum technology or anything; Bruno certainly had more sense than that. And excluding Momentum, a D-Wheel was more or less just a motorcycle with a Duel Disk attached. What could be the harm in that? If Bruno had known more about the details of the Yliaster situation it might have given him more pause, but as things were he just assumed Yuusei's vague reticence was just... well, Yuusei being reticent.

Bruno gave Yuusei a smile and a wave as soon as he saw him. "Hi! I brought the most current version of the plans," he confirmed, holding the USB stick up. "You didn't have any last-minute modifications you wanted to make, did you?"

Once the receptionist came, Bruno offered her a friendly thank-you and followed her obligingly when she began leading them through the building.
