[The video feed kicks in, just long enough to show the camera's view taken up entirely by what appears to be an orange circle surrounded by blackness, then switches off. Looks like someone's making a survey of the communicator's capabilities. It's quick and efficient, as though done by someone with at least some concept of how such a thing might work. There was, however, one detail that had momentarily been overlooked; once it's noticed, a deep, slightly hollow voice can be heard on the still-open audio feed.]
Hm. Already transmitting.
[A pause: He could switch it off, but if there are enough... unusual people to merit a communications infrastructure, then at least some overture may be necessary to evaluate its usefulness.]
I won't waste time being indignant. If I am called to bring Justice, then so be it. There certainly seems to be enough trouble to go around.
