[Andromeda is surrounded by what looks like a small mountain of gifts. Maybe she went a little overboard this year, but the holidays last year had been dampened by the whole impending doom thing, so she has to make up for it!]I know that the Weasleys will be having their own holiday party at the nouveau-Burrow, but you know me -- I can't say no to ( Read more... )

Obligated, am I? It's because I can cook, don't think I can't see through your plan, woman.

[He's smiling, though: of course he's coming.]

It's partly because you can cook, yes. Mostly because I want to see my cousin, though I don't suppose I have to plan a fancy dinner for that.

What'll I be making, then? Potatoes au gratin, to go with the ham? I could do the garlicky ones as well, but this is a holiday, and that wants covering things in cheese and other sauces.

Au gratin sounds lovely -- I'm sure you'll wow the guests, naturally.

I just like to know who I'm speaking to, that's all.

[If they're going with titles...]

Andromeda Tonks. Nurse Tonks, if we're doing titles.

You're welcome to come, of course. Not that we know each other too terribly well -- but that ought to change.

[Given that she is friends with both Sirius and Severus.]

Oh, right. Erm, sorry about that. I agree.

[Andromeda thinks she's sweet so far, so Gemma's off to a good start.]

Don't worry too much on it, dear. Shall I expect you, then? Bring whatever you'd like!

You do throw marvelous parties, Ms. Andromeda. You can count on me to stop by. Any special requests for a dish?

[Oh, she knows that voice!]

Anything from your kitchen will be wonderful -- surprise me. I trust you're well, Sanji.

[he'll flick on the video feed to match - and wave and smile]

Quite well. I can't complain, with things being quiet and people having parties left and right.

Hmm, a glazed ham, and I hear the bit about potatoes from that guy. I'm sure I can come up with a perfect complement. Or possibly dessert, hmm...

...what's 'Boxing Day'?

It's a holiday that's mostly British, I think, where you generally go out and shop the good deals that day gives -- but it's also a day to share and be giving.

Just another excuse to have a family dinner, I think. There's some medieval tradition somewhere, but it's outdated by now.

You mean, like Thanksgiving?

I think the comparable day would be 'Black Friday'.
