We've had an eventful couple of weeks, haven't we? It's such a shame that all the commotion has been preventing us from living our lives in peace. Still, there's no harm in a little chaos now and then, hmm? Though one can argue that with all the excitement that happens on a daily basis, chaos is starting to become the norm here. It does make ( Read more... )

Are congratulations in order? I seem to be one of those who didn't know something was wrong.

[...this is such a nice sentiment. he has no idea what to do with it. at least with Gemma he knew it wasn't really for him but his persona.

and he doesn't particularly want to mention he's not actually ill over the network, even privately...]

I'm feeling much better. But I wouldn't mind company?

It's nothing you need to worry about. Everything's fine now. [And she has no idea how he'd react to the fact that she was magic-less.]

I can drop by the MAC right now, if you wish.

[Not well! Though not all of the ire would be directed at her, probably.

But still. Why are you hiding things from him :c]

That's fine. I'm not busy at the moment. Room [number here].

[She's scared. Irrationally.]

I'll be there in half an hour.

I'll leave the door unlocked.

[and he'll just be. waiting here. because where else is he going to go; he's supposed to be convalescing.]

[Bellatrix pays attention to her appearance more than usual before she leaves to...to what? Make a good first impression? She honestly doesn't know how to act around him, considering he's a child, a far inferior version of the Dark Lord she's used to.

But nevertheless, he may not be Voldemort now, but he will be, or so she thinks. And when she enters his apartment, her demeanor is subdued, hesitant. A far cry from her usual self.]

...Tom?

[Well, from the apartment it's clear he has plenty of magical power, like the one she's used to. It's quite nice looking on the inside, respectably Slytherin and pure-blooded in taste, except for the kitchen because he's still working on that.

He was in the bedroom, adding a couple things to his notes, but he heads back out as soon as he hears her voice. He doesn't look sick in the slightest, just a little restless.]

Good afternoon, Bellatrix.

[She slowly walks through the rooms until she reaches the one he's in, lingering in the doorway as she surveys him. She notices that he doesn't look ill at all.]

Good afternoon. Am I disturbing you?

Not at all. [He flicks his wand and the papers sort themselves neatly into the drawers of the side table.] I was merely passing the time.

It's good to finally meet you in person.

Likewise. [She steps inside, trying not to give off any signs of uncertainly.] You look well.

I'm quite well. I'm sorry if I worried you. [He shrugs a bit and sticks his hands in his pockets.] I would have said something but I don't quite trust the network.

It's fine. [So...awkward...] I take it you're adjusting smoothly to the City?

As smoothly as you might expect. [probably a bit more so, even; this is one of the only times he isn't completely cursing growing up in the Muggle world.] Most everyone has been quite accommodating, other than a few odd looks here and there from some of the natives.

Oh? Have they been bothering you? [She tries to quell anything resembling caring from her voice. She doesn't know how well he receives affection -- and she knows how much his older self doesn't like it.]

Hardly. But it does get a bit old.

[He tilts his head a bit and studies at her for a moment]

Would you like to sit down? I wouldn't think you'd like to stand here in my bedroom all afternoon.

[omg he asked her to sit down!! She glances around the room for a vacant chair, sitting gingerly on the edge of his bed when she doesn't find one.]

I have to admit that it's a bit strange to talk to you like this, considering I'm more familiar with your older self.
