THREE. VOICE.

Ladies, I'm hoping you could provide me some assistance. I'm sure that there might be some modern women hearing this, because in all honesty, some of these selections are quite unacceptable and to an extent I don't want to be mistaken for a prostitute wearing something so revealingThough, I'm not going to be rude and ignore the gentlemen. So you want clothing advice? Alright. What year are you from?

[She's ignoring the rest of this since it was directed at the men... despite all the women replying...]

I'm from 1965.

That's doable. You just have to find designers who like to pay homage to the sixties.

You can search Google... which you probably don't know how to use. [A beat.]

I'll look it up and tell you what I find.

If you just tell me what stores to visit, and I'll definitely be there.

Smoking is bad for your health, really, but that doesn't mean you have to quit.

I wasn't even entertaining the notion.

Good to hear. It's also pretty nice to hear that I'm not the only smoker in the City now.

There's a minority of smokers now?

I hate to break it to you, gorgeous, but there have been some changes in the past few decades. Opinions of Cigarettes being one of them.

So I'm beginning to see. I also noticed that cocktail lunches have gone out of fashion and scotch glasses in offices. How do people even function?

I don't know what a Soviet Union is, but I definitely sympathize with you on the issue of tobacco, miss. The laws are a bit ridiculous.

Saying that they're a bit ridiculous is being kind.

A bit, maybe. At least they haven't banned them outright, thank goodness. I don't know what I'd do.

Then that would really be horrible.

Oh, yeah, that's a wonderful way to get help. Insult a good chunk of the female population by calling us whores and then insult the rest by assuming we can't explain why cigarrettes are a health risk.

Way to go with the not being rude there, lady.

It's tried and true. Though you'll have to explain to me why tiny pieces of cloth are being passed off as skirts or high fashion. The idea that smoking is "unhealthy" is some liberal's campaign platform.

I'm going to do you a favor here and assume you're from like the fifties or something. Fifty years before your time, you would've been seen as a hooker for wearing a skirt that shows your ankles. In your time, it's acceptable. Same principle applies here.

And there's actually been a ton of scientific and medical studies that show smoking and inhaling second hand smoke fuck with your lungs, among other things. It kills millions of people each year.

1965. Really, this is getting rather old.

It doesn't really matter, I should be allowed to smoke in bars.
