...I picked an awesome week to sign a new lease, didn't I? Now I don't even know if I should bother asking for help moving furniture.

It can't count if something crushes your house, right?

Dude. You don't even want to know how much paperwork covering disaster-related damages I had to sign off on. I didn't actually count on bigger than Godzilla-sized doom to hit before, like...I dunno. November?

Yeah, I hope so. But this is kind of the perfect setup, you know?

All the hideous visions going around sure aren't promising.

Tell me about it. But when's the last time we had legitimate forewarning about crap going down? I really hope it's not a hoax. You know how this place likes to play games with us.

[a slight pause to consider.]

...Nnnnot sure we ever had this much forewarning before, actually. So, I guess it'd be a no? But in the grand scheme of weird-crap-cropping-up, it's not like any of the veterans around her should be too shocked.

[beat.]

...Actually, some might be wondering what took so long...

Tt. Even if you'd put it off, there would likely be something else to worry about later.

Well, sure, but there's usually a grace period. The old house actually managed to be pretty solid for a while before crap started getting out of control as far as living spaces go.

But then again, Godzilla didn't start getting...Godzilla-sized until way later.

Perhaps you should start finding accommodations that aren't so easily destroyed.

Still working on that secret-underground-lair fund, dude. It's expensive! But for now, still-squishable accommodations'll have to do.

But speaking of all this craziness - are you still sticking around regardless?
