I apologize for my late introduction, but I am Senator Leia Organa of the planet Alderaan and ambassador to the Imperial ( Read more... )

[ Oh God you're Princess Leia, you're Princess Leia from Star Wars.

...Meeting Han was enough of a head trip. Okay be cool. ]

It's not so simple as that. We're all from different versions of Earth.

[Huh. She tilts her head just slightly to the side.]

Different versions?

Yeah. I could tell you about the Earth I come from, but it’s different from this Earth. And there’s other people here who are from different versions again. Different realities, you know. If it’s this Earth you wanna know about, I’d check a library or something. Or like, the Internet.

Sounds like you're in need of a personal escort.

It's a pleasure to meet you, Senator Organa. I'm Captain James T. Kirk of the USS Enterprise. If it's this version of Earth you're interested in, I can point you to some websites and books, if you don't mind narrowing down your fields a little more. There's a number of different cultures on Earth that have changed over long periods of time, so there's quite a bit of information out there.

A multi-cultural planet is not something I've encountered before. Bicultural, yes, but many planets have one. [Because Star Wars makes sense like that.]

I know a lot of planets that are like that, too. But Earth's a little weird.

How weird is weird, Captain?

The Imperial Senate. Really?

It's my title, after all. As much as I despise the thought of the Imperial Senate.

Well, they were dissolved, weren't they? Of course, saying you're part of a rebellion isn't in good form either, I suppose.

Try the library, books are gonna be your best bet. Just be careful with what you choose to believe.

Sources are not entirely reliable? [It's not unusual to her, considering how the Empire has tampered with information when they need to.]

They're reliable, but i'm pretty sure no library's big enough to cover the information from everyone's dimension.

I'll simply have to do with the information I can get access to.
