[Andromeda frowns and lets her attention flicker off the screen for a moment. In fact, she ignores the communicator for a solid minute straight while she murmurs soft spells and brushes her hand over a face that's not visible on the screen.]

[ He frowns most deeply at that and sighs softly, before frowning up at her. ]

[On the upside for Charles, Pietro is angry enough to practically be vibrating. It's kind of interesting to watch. On the downside, if Pietro looks like his father when he isn't angry, well uhh. Let's just say the resemblance almost doubles when he is.]

This is how you've decided to spend your evening? I realize, of course, that if you still maintain the delusion that my father is a reasonable man, you are younger and significantly less competent. He still seems drunk, certainly, but his composure is much more straight-backed now and his smile is not a sloppy, drunken one. Not anymore, as much. Hmm. He opens his mouth to speak, pauses, and then begins when he's certain he's found the appropriate words.] I am sorry.

I do assure you, there is method to my madness yet. This is certainly not without its purpose.

[ Charles tried not to make any sort of deal of how flattered he was to hear this information. If not because he was legitimately surprised, but because it gave him an awful lot of thinking to do about the true honing of his skills. He's just pursing his lips before he does eventually speak again. ]

I have a lot of work to do on my skills, it would seem.

[ Charles catches that sadness and it makes him frown momentarily. He resists reading his companion's mind for now -- something he's been acing pretty well since he's arrived in the City, but it still takes a bit of judgment and will power to give people their privacy.
