[manlytear]

[He chuckles softly at that.]

Certainly, you were. [ He smiles deeply again, but ceases teasing his friend for the time being and just chuckles to himself. ]

[Erik shakes his head a bit in amusement before the screen of his communicator goes black. His order at the bar was finally ready, so he carried the basket of food along with his drink back to the table that Charles was seated at tucked away in a corner booth. He slid into his seat across from Charles.]

I would have ordered you another drink, but it seems you have had enough.

[ Charles just huffs at him then and shrugs his shoulders. ]

I am sure I could do for a few more before I lose consciousness.

And would it not embarrass you if I had to carry you back to your apartment, Charles?

I would question the safety of that if I was not so sure of your ability to take care of yourself. Though you could not very well stumble home if you were passed out under the table.

Unless you were to kick me there. [ He waved his arm, teasing, though he was quite curious anyway. ]

I suppose I can not guess exactly where you will end up. I suppose it is entirely possible that you will end up in someone else's bed.

...that is plausible, I will give you that. [ He laughed and rested his chin on his hand, smirking in his companion's direction. ]

There are plenty of lovely ladies in this City, I am sure some of them have empty beds.

[Erik chuckled at that, taking a sip of his drink and then focusing his eyes on Charles once more.]

That is certainly true. Though if you continue becoming more inebriated, I am not so sure that it is a woman's bed you will end up in.

[ Charles' eyes widened considerably at that and he choked on his drink for a minute, desperate for air for a brief second of shock. ]

[Erik could not help but laugh at Charles' scandalized reaction.]

[ Charles just made a face of great displeasure at being easily poked fun at. ]
