[ Charles is shocked by the voice he hears coming over the network, even moreso when he grabs his own communicator and glances down to see Erik's face. ] Erik?

Erik, is that you?! [ His voice is elated, pleased to have such a companion aboard... well, whatever this was. ]

[Though it is subtle, his voice is full of both surprise and relief.]
