Is it normal for the machine to take our friends from different points in time? [He reaches into his pants pocket and takes out a cigarette.] I don't understand the use of it. [Lighting it now. Hold for a pause as he inhales and exhales smoke.] Wouldn't it be easier to take us all from the same time?
