It's the people he has left behind and harmed who are still suffering. So, yes, you are right, dear girl. No one has won.

If only it were that simple...but you are right, in a way. But what about the people he has already hurt? The people who may have cared about him? What are they to do, now?
Furthermore, there's a chance he may return, and his return may bring with it new troubles, perhaps worse troubles.
