[There's a pop of displaced air in the hallway, and then a knock at the door. TWO GUESSES AS TO WHO IT IS.]

'S open. [HE IS PLAYING WITH A STAG, clearly this is more important than answering the door.]

[Sirius comes in carrying a black bag, and regards James. He closes the door, locks it, grabs both of their communicators and shoves them under the cushion of a chair, and produces two bottles of Irish whiskey.]

No throwing up on her carpet, though. I may have lied when I promised her I'd take care of you when she wasn't around, seeing as you're basically hopeless, but I'm just about up for defending the well-being of her floors.

[James sits up a bit straighter on the couch, and moves the stag elsewhere so it won't get sat on or squished or anything like that. He gives Sirius a grin and grabs the bottle, then sprawls back comfortably to open it.]

You are the best best friend ever, Pads. And I am not hopeless. Except for, er, cooking. And ...general housecleaning-y things. You know.
