It is not my place to judge the hopes and dreams of others. But if, through desires and actions, one becomes a threat to the dream of the future, then action will be taken.

Mercy is subjective. What one might deem a mercy, another might consider fitting punishment.

You are correct that people on this network take death too lightly. It is part of the greater cycle, but it is no small step to take. And what the Porter does is not part of that cycle. The callous way people speak of death on these devices continues to baffle me.

Perhaps so. But death can come to all, in time.

If it has happened to them or their loved ones in this world, I cannot see how they could make light of it. Even if the porter brought them back.

The porter is not... natural.
